John Hicks Unlimited Love Event

Support over 200 families each year by participating in our annual fundraising event, hosted by Unverferth House. Your involvement helps provide a temporary home for families in need.

About Unlimited Love

In 2015, John Johnson asked his good friend and former lineman for The Ohio State Buckeyes, John Hicks, to help families in need. Despite his own ailing health, Hicks said yes. Together, they gathered a group of former Buckeye and Wolverine football players to share stories about The Big Game, donate their time and memorabilia, and raise money for the House. The John Hicks Unlimited Love Unverferth House Event was born. When Hicks died in 2016, the event not only celebrated the legacy of former quarterback and cardiologist, Dr. Don Unverferth, but also the generosity of John Hicks, two Buckeye legends who always considered community before self.
This year, the 10th Annual John Hicks UL Unverferth House Event welcomes Buckeye football legend and Heisman Trophy winner Archie Griffin. Join us for dinner, a silent auction, and a fireside chat, featuring Ray Griffin, Roy Hall, Marcus Ray, and David Key, moderated by former Ohio State running back and radio analyst, Jeff Logan. Your participation helps provide a comforting home away from home for families and patients of the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center.
